Traditional Chinese Medicine
Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) has been practiced for over 2000 years.
TCM is made up of eight branches, which are thought to be important in overall health, in both the prevention and treatment of disease processes. All of them can influence the energy flow in the body, and each can help restore balance. Acupuncture is the most widely known of the branches, the others being: herbal medicine, food therapy or nutrition, exercise (t’ai chi or qigong), body work (tui na), meditation, geomancy (your location and how it relates to health), and astrology or cosmology. Although, we are able to give guidance and offer input on all of the branches of TCM, with the exception of astrology, we focus our attention on wellbeing through acupuncture.
